“I can’t promise to solve all your problems, but I can promise you won’t have to face them alone!” — unknown
Being best friends…being a family means being there for one another-through problems great and small. Parents nurture their children through the crawl, walk, run, and fly transitions of their lives. They guide boys to become “real” men and girls to become “real” women. In a family, not only do parents help children but children help siblings and their parents as well. Being a family brings happiness, love, joy, challenge, sorrow, success, failure, excitement, problems, tribulations and sometimes tragedy.
Being a family is not like riding a bus, where one person drives while the rest sit around, taking in the scenery and watching the day’s events unfold. No, being in a family is more like paddling a canoe: it requires coordination, team effort, and balance.

I love to watch my daughter and son interact…especially when they don’t know I’m there. They help one another. They care for each other. They have created a friendship that will stand forever! It is beautiful and powerful.
Think of someone you miss. Think of someone with whom you should reconcile. Think of someone you love. Take a moment…call your brother, sister, mother, wife, husband…call your best friend. Be there.
